WHAT IS THE TIME LINE?

August 2022 – Senior Pastor Search Committee is created and engaged with the Vanderbloemen group to assist in the search process. Late 2022 – Interviews are ongoing. Early 2023 – Interviews will be completed Spring / Summer 2023 – New Senior Pastor will be hired.

WHO MAKES THE FINAL DECISION?

The search committee will recommend a final candidate to the Elder Leadership team. Per our church Constitution and Bylaws, the Elder Leadership team will appoint the new Senior Pastor, with confirmation by two-thirds majority of a quorum of church members (Ambassadors) at a duly called meeting.

Meet Grant Agler, the new Senior Pastor of Foundations Church

Foundations Church has completed the Senior Pastor search and hiring process and Grant Agler will be the new senior pastor of Foundations Church as of August 2023!

Please be praying for our new Senior Pastor. We are excited for the future and we believe that God will continue to use Foundations Church to impact Northern Colorado!

SEARCH PROCESS TIMELINE

July 2022

Carl Sutter, our founding Pastor, informed us that after 11 years of service to Foundation Church, he would be retiring in July 2023. Carl and his family have touched countless lives and given much to the people of Northern Colorado – he will be missed.

July 2022 - Search Committee Formed

Senior Pastor Search Committee is created. The members include Dee Feldman, Marc Dekkers, Bart Mayes, Bob Mitchell, Deena Pettit, and Marc Cunningham.

August 2022 - Hiring Consultant Engaged

We engaged with a church focused search firm called Vanderbloemen to assist in the search process.

September 2022 - Vanderbloemen Visit

Jay Mitchell with Vanderbloemen visits FC for a weekend and a detailed position description is created.

October 2022 - Job Posted

Vanderbloemen begins publicizing and networking the Senior Pastor position.

December 2022 - Initial Assessments

Vanderbloemen begins reviewing the 96 applicants who have applied. They reviewed resumes and have candidates complete online assessments. The result is a pool of 17 qualified candidates.

December 2022 - Narrowing of Candidates

Vanderbloemen interviews the 17 candidates and brings the pool down to 11 high-quality candidates.

January 2023 - Final 3 Candidates

The Senior Pastor Search Committee completes its second round of video interviews and narrows down to 3 final candidates.

January 2023 - 3rd Round of Interviews

The Senior Pastor Search Committee completes its third round of video interviews.

January 2023 - Final round of interviews

The Senior Pastor Search Committee completes its final round of video interviews and names a top candidate.

January 2023 - Invitation to Candidate to visit Foundations

An invitation to visit Foundations Church is extended to the candidate and his wife.

February 2023 - Candidate visit Foundations

Candidate and his wife visit Foundations Church for weekend and meet with Staff and Elders .

February 2023 - Senior Pastor Search Committee Completes Process

The Senior Pastor Search Committee completes their search and due diligence process and formally recommends their top candidate the Elder Leadership Team.

March 2023 - Elder Leadership Team

The Elder Leadership Team continues through the final stages of the due diligence process.

March 2023 - Church Visit

Candidate Grant Agler visits Foundations and speaks at all services

March 2023 - Church Vote

The Elder Leadership Team votes unanimously to appoint Grant Agler to the position of Senior Pastor for Foundations Church and the Ambassador members overwhelmingly vote to confirm this appointment.

March 2023 - Grant accepts

Grant Agler accepts the offer. He and his family will be moving to Loveland in July 2023, and he will officially begin his role as the new Senior Pastor of Foundations Church in August 2023.
