CHILDREN’S MINISTRY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

If so, then the Children’s Ministry Administrative Assistant Position at Foundations Church might be for you!
SUMMARY
The Administrator of Children’s Ministry is to directly aid and support the Children’s Ministry Director/Pastor in providing a safe and gospel centered program for kids at Foundations Church. They will work as a team with all Children’s Ministry staff to love and lead our children.

● Must be a faithful, growing Christ-follower who is deepening his/her personal relationship with Christ, and models this and Him to others.

● In full, unwavering alignment with Foundations’ Statement of Beliefs, Values, Mission, and
Vision.
● Desires to know and love God even more than s/he wants to be used by God (Jn 15:1-8).
● Consistently treats others in a way that proves to them that they matter to God and to us.
PERSONAL
● A person who has a strong and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
● A person who is supportive, enthusiastic, and can articulate the mission, vision, and strategy of
Foundations Church.
● A person who demonstrates discernment and wisdom in communicating with people and
children from all walks of life.
● Strong verbal, written and social skills that enable her/him to be an effective communicator to
children, volunteers and parents.
● A person who is: energetic and positive, flexible, open to feedback, and desires to multiply
themselves.

PROFESSIONAL
● Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting the Director/Pastor in creating and executing curriculum for the weekend services as well as large family events.
● Working together to develop a strong volunteer network to support the ministry.
● Creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment that will allow kids to learn about Jesus.
● To aid in developing and executing seasonal goals that align with the vision of Children’s
Ministry and Foundations Church as a whole.
● Other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly Curriculum:
● Aid the Director/Pastor in preparing and printing all curriculum for both campuses
● Maintain Volunteer Resource website
● Keep closets organized
● Order Kids Ministry supplies
● Maintain and organize files on Google Drive and Genesis
● Maintain Kids Ministry Social Media sites
● Respond to emails as appropriate
Volunteer Planning:
● Restock Volunteer Corner
● Assist scheduling volunteers in Planning Center and send out scheduling email as needed
● Help Director and Coordinators follow up with current volunteers and recruit new volunteers
● Assist with planning and execution of volunteer training manuals and events
Event Planning:
● Aid Kids Ministry in planning and executing large events for ministry (family festivals, summer camps, etc.)
● Assist with Child Dedications and Baptisms at the direction of the Children’s Director
Personal Growth:
● Grow as a leader and a team player
● Attend team meetings with enthusiasm and creative ideas
● Attend all staff meetings
● Always put Jesus first and continue to walk with Him through all ups and downs
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
● Adaptability to church’s management software: Planning Center.
● Attention to detail and follow through on assignments and deadlines.
● A commitment to good interpersonal relationships, teamwork, and support of church ministries.
● A commitment to confidentiality regarding all records.
● Takes personal responsibility in developing one’s own spiritual, physical, and emotional well- being.
HOURS & PAY RANGE
20-25 HOURS A WEEK / $15-17 PER HOUR
